Treat your mum on Mother's day to this cream sponge. Using the fantastic Macphie products, its so easy to make and tastes delicious.
Ingredients1000g Macphie sponge cake mix 500g water |
MethodAdd the Macphie sponge cake mix to a mixer fitted with a beater. Add the water and mix for 1 minute on the 1st speed. Scrape down and whisk on the top speed for 10-15 minutes, followed by 2 minutes on the 1st speed. Deposit approximately 160g of batter into a 6" deep round cake tin and bake at 190°C (380°F) for approximately 18 minutes. Leave to cool and then split the cake in two. Layer together with the whipped Macphie mactop extra. Why not add a fruity filling for an extra special touch. Finish with a dusting of Macphie sweet snow. Enjoy! |
