Have a frightfully spooky time this Halloween, with these spider cookies, they are simple and fun to make.
Ingredients1000g Dawn Foods prairie vanilla cookie base Dawn Foods chocolate fudge icing Dawn Foods glossy icing - vanilla 150g softened butter/margarine 60g water Chocolate sweets (e.g. Rolos) |
MethodAdd the prairie vanilla cookie base and the butter to a mixing bowl fitted with a beater and mix on slow speed for 3 minutes. Add the water and continue to mix on slow speed until a soft dough has formed. Form the dough into 30g pucks. Bake in a rack oven at 150°C for 8-10 minutes. |
Assembly
MethodTake some chocolate sweets (such as Rolos) and pipe 2 eyes onto each one using chocolate fudge icing and glossy vanilla icing. Pipe a small spot of heated chocolate fudge icing onto the centre of each cookie and then place one of the decorated chocolates on top. Finish off by piping the 8 legs onto the cookie using the heated chocolate fudge icing. |
